Global Rights for Women 10th Annual Event - Celebrating a Decade of Survivors’ Resilience. Global Rights for Women is an international expert and thought leader on legal reform on violence against women. This event will include a reception of appetizers, beverages and socializing, and an exciting program featuring Emcee Jearlyn Steele, singer and radio host, Global Rights for Women Executive Director Cheryl Thomas; Global Rights for Women international colleague Jean Enriquez, local spoken word poet Muna Abdulahi, and musical performances by Diane Davis, and pianist Mary Louise Knutson. A livestream and recording of the event will be available. Mary Louise Knutson provides background music during the in-person social hour. JazzMN Orchestra Presents: Delfeayo Marsalis. Mary Louise is in the band on piano. Minnesota's premiere big band, is back at the Dakota for an unforgettable night of music. Led by trombonist-educator Scott Agster, acclaimed trombonist, composer, and producer, Delfeayo Marsalis has dedicated his prolific career to music theater and education. Along with the Marsalis family of musicians, including his father Ellis, the artist was destined for a life in music. Also, he’s worked with Ray Charles, Art Blakey, Max Roach, Elvin Jones and Slide Hampton, and leads his own groups.

At the age of seventeen, Marsalis began his career as a producer. To that end, he has produced over 120 recordings, garnering one Grammy award and several nominations. TICKETS for 4:00 PM show; TICKETS for 7:00 PM show.

On display, you’ll see Andrea’s new mixed media works, some large and small abstract landscapes, abstract photography, small painted flower pots, note card packs, and more.
